The Olsun Group is actively seeking government and private funding for the development of a pilot scale plant in the UK. This move will bring our technology one step closer to being scaled up for industrial-level processes of PGM recovery and raw material production in the circular economy.

We successfully incorporated green chemistry and green engineering to develop a highly selective PGM refining process that allowed:

Conservation of energy, water, chemicals, labour, space, infrastructure and time
– Minimal waste generation, elimination of organic solvents use and achievement of a zero carbon footprint
– 99% separation rates and 995 metal recovery purity, in a single-step process

We established a partnership with the Material Processing Institute to validate our process and conduct lab-scale trials.

We developed a process that recovers 99% of PGMs in secondary sources, bypassing the need for energy-intensive plasma arc technologies and environmentally harmful practices like using lead, copper, or sulphur, prevalent in current industry leaders.
